No Oil Alarm - Etec 225 HO

    Engine Model # E225DHLSD
    Serial # 5154279

For the past two weekends, when I make a long run of 45 min. longer at approximately 4000 - 5000 rpms the no oil alarm has gone off. Prior to this past weekend I took it back to the shop, and the dealer primed the oil system from his laptop. Now, I am taking it back to the shop again to see whats going on. I have full confidence that issue will be resolved, and that BRP will stand behind it. Dealer thinks that air is getting in the line somewhere somehow. The primer bulb will get so tight you can't even squeeze it anymore. I would just like your ideas on what might be the problem. Also, I love my ETEC !!!!!! Thanks in advance !

I was thinking the same way, since they are just click on clamps. I would prefer the clamps that use the screw to tighten down. Oh well, the motor is running great and I have put about 10 hrs on it already and have used probably 2 gallons of oil. This issue is small but annoying and I know it can be fixed. All we have to do now is trace it down.

Have your dealer check the software version and revision. There is a software update that specifically addresses this issue. It could be an air leak on the oil supply line but I would have the dealer check for that an install the software revision. I'll bet that will cure your problem and eliminate the inconvenience.
