I have this motor on a 1979 glastron bass boat, when i get it up on plane full throttle it will do 45 or so, then after 15-30 seconds it sounds like it shifts gears and it kicks up to 50 or so, tha motor is rebuilt 10 hours or so and has new carb, any assistance would be a help
Sounds like the prop digs in and hooks up better and increase your speed. Nothing to worry about.
