    New boat owner probs

Guys, as many of you know, I am a new boat owner and extremely GREEN.

I have three problems that I can't figure out.

First, I have a leak somewhere on my 2000 201d. I have to leave the bilge pump on auto all the time. If I leave the boat in a stall, it will have a lot of water in there the next morning. Today I noticed that the floor under the driver side is very wet. When I looked under the boat, I saw a small three inch area of gel coat had cracked along the v by my intake. That brings me to my second problem.

I have not hit a single stump and now have three more small cracks along the lines under the boat. They are next to my rails but the rails are in great shape. The cracks are to the fiberglass but no further.

The last problem is that I can't get the live wells to work. They fill up but I can't get the aerator to work in either one.

Anyone else have these probs and have any more suggestions?
I have repaired the first crack. I checked around the plug because someone told me that they had a problem with the plug area.

By the way, my father got out of the hospital a few days ago. We aren't going to do anymore chemo. The doctor said that it acted about as good as water would. No effect at all on the cancer. He keeps asking when we're going fishing so I can't wait to take him out on the boat, as soon as I get everything in shape. The boat looks pristine, and runs great, but for these problems.

Check the hose connections and the pumps in the bilge area as one or more are cracked or broken and leaking water into the boat. The livewell system you have is a Flow Rite System and you can get all the new fittings from them.

Since we had a colder than normal winter, I would guess the case around the pumps cracked an is letting in water. Before you go checking fittings, especially since they are so hard to get to, and the hoses are so short it makes it really hard to disconnect, pull the pumps out. They are cartridge style and will rotate about a 1/4 turn and come out. Easy to replace, I found this out after I had pulled the fittings and hoses to get the pump out.
"Oh look, it could have come out this way!! &%&%$&*#$!!!!!!!!!!"

Thanks guys! The pumps were messed up. I bought two new ones and had them in in about 20 minutes. One had fishing line attached and one had froze up.
The cracking was actually caused by the company that put my humminbird and hotfoot in. I found out by using the gps route that proved they had put it in a pond to test out the cool new sonar. lol

It was great to see the route on the 898c and proved that they had a pond behind their biz which they said they didn't have and didn't put my boat in. That was great!
