question about neutral switch

when i took the lower unit off, for some reason i took the neutral switch off... the switch that goes on the bracket that the shift rod hooks to, and now i dont remember how to put it on. its a switch with little button on it and theres another separate piece that i think the button pushes against.

so i think i figured it out since i finally found it on the parts diagram... only thing is i think i tossed that spring that goes between the switch when i found it laying in the bottom of the engine.
