190 SX console sonar placement?

Hey everyone,

I posted a few weeks back inquiring about 190SX info and the amount of responses/info given was overwhelmingly generous, thanks! Well I took the dive and traded my old Lowe 1730 for a 1998 Champ 190 SX and couldnt be more excited. The one remaining question i have about this boat...where do people put their console sonar/gps units??? I sat in my boat for a long time thinking about this so I just thought I would check and see what some other owners are doing. Once again, thanks for all the generous responses.

The 1998 SX has the full frame windshield. This might be in the way for gunnel mounting...

I will tell you how mine is setup. Mine has a ram mount attached to the upright windshield support with a couple of u-bolts. While it's not the perfect setup, it does work with the console unit I currently have. Like most guys, I'd like to have a nice down/side imaging unit someday like the HB1198 and I think if I used the same Ram mount, I could turn it so I could see it from the front of boat as well.

Not a great picture of it by any means but you can see the mount on the drivers side support...

Mine is mounted on a RAM Mount on the little storage tray on the driver side.. Not sure how much I like it down there, but that is where it was when I bought it.
