    Joined the Champion club today

Well, my dad did. He picked up the '96 221 Elite that was for sale in the classified here.

I'll be going down to see him in the morning and get the boat all set up and ready for us, and maybe out on the water on Sunday if we can get everything ready.

I am so glad he finally bought a Champion he has been talking about pulling the trigger for years, and although the boat is a bit older than I thought he would get it seems to be one of Champion's classics.

We're excited. And you'll probably see me around here a bit more as I have questions for the experts.

Great site, and great people here.

Welcome! We'll have to learn you how to post pics so we can have a look at that boat. I always thought it would be nuts pulling one of those around. I'm so used to my 18' 7". I can't imagine it being 4 feet longer!!

Thanks everyone. We got it cleaned up, but not on the water this weekend. Hopefully next weekend. I'll take plenty of pics and post a few.

He is moving up from an 18.5, and the thing is huge. Those decks on the front are big enough to land airplanes on.

    More soon.

I saw an old 221 for the first time last summer. We passed pretty close on the t-motor as we were both fishing the same area. My 203 looked like the small little brother that wanted to tag along. He had the front seat out, so it made the deck look that much bigger. My bud said "You could set a picnic table and benches on that deck and still have room to fish".
