Im Lookin for a CHAMPION. Need some info.

Well guys and Gals, im starting to look for a Champion. I run a Cobra 190d and im really wanting in better ride.

I want a "Fast Champion" I think im lookin for a 202, but i would like to hear everyones opinion on them.

I know that the Champs ride the best and that is what im after.

Any info on speed and handling is much appreciated.

    Thanks Collin Cheatham

Check out the very first topic in this forum. The Champion world according to Pat Goff. It has all your answers and more. Some very good info in that post. Its pinned at the very top.

Not sure if you saw that up there or not.

Might check out a 198/225 combo. Pretty quick boats with great storage.

You're right on the money. The 202 is about as good as it gets. Fast, great ride, easy to drive. It has plenty of storage, and they look good, too. Not too many available, though. Most people don't sell them anymore.

my friend has a 202 and it is fast, real close to 80 with a 250 hpdi, and rides great. Handling seems great as well, but I've never driven it. It seems tippy at rest to me, but most of the older narrow champs are alittle tippy. I think you would be happy with it when you get one.

The 202 is the fastest. A 198 w/ a 225 is not bad. If you want speed buy a Yamaha and have Hydro Tec work it over !

Look into something like a 198 or a 200. My 198 will run 74.8 is the best, but it will run 70+ all day, anyday and fishes good too....
