my 03 196 has a removable console.
From the pictures in the brochure, it appears they are not the modular consoles, so that would be no.
Even if they were modular, removing the passenger one would leave some pretty large holes if the year model was prior to 09. The 09 Elite models have quick remove/install passenger consoles...The CX models do not..

Lea, I'm not sure it's an elite.I am still gettin info on it.I think it's a 198 but that's all I know for now.It's pretty tough to find a single console now days. Thanks
Sorry, Mike...I was talking to Champ196guy about his 2003 model. Yours is not a 198. The first 198s were built in 2004.
No problem.I just ran accross the boat so I don't have more info.I was just curious if the console woulod come out.I'm looking for a single console.I do know it has a 2oo optimax so it must be one of the 19 footers. Thanks

Hey Lea, A dealer has traded for the boat.I just happened to call him to see what they had.He says it is in brand new condtion,cleanest 03 he had ever seen.But it is a dual console.That's why I asked if it's removable.I am about to buy a different boat.I love my 184 but I need more room.I am also looking at a stratos.To be honest I hope this champ is as clean as he says.I certainly hate to not own another Champ.But we'll see how it goes. All I know so far is has an opti 200. And it is Red as a firetruck.If it looks as good as your rig it's gonna get bought!!!!!
