19' Champion bass boat with a 1991 200 HP

This is on craigslist just wondering what you think about the boat. I live in Michigan but if this looks like a good boat and deal I might make the eight hour drive to go get it. I don't know if anyone lives in the area I might have to ask someone to go look at it. Thanks. But any options on this boat and what model it is would be helpful. I have pictures but don't know how to add them.

That boat at that price means something is serious wrong with it. I'd be very careful.

You can email the pics to me and and I'll post them. Also, I would try first to have someone local look at first. If not, load up the family cruiser with a buddy and take a drive. I went 5 hrs to look and drive my boat.

I see they say 91 motor but do not say year of boat.... I would be a tad suspicious....

Here it is... I'm posting for MJ above! My bet is the boat is not a 91, but looks like a project.. wiring, wet sand, rubbing compound, wax... etc.. Without jumping up and down on the motor to check the transom, it doesn't look to bad.

That is going to take some TLC. I would be concerned about the trailer as well. If it is bad a new one cost about $3500

If compression is within spec, and transom is good, that's a lot of boat for $3500. It's not in much worse shape than my 87/92 merc 200efi and I'm asking $4k for it. Check it out close but looks to me like someone who is motivated to sell like right now...

And I'd guess 91 isn't far off on the boat year, judging from the gothic decals and the angled striped seats...

Not the original trailer for that boat. TM looks like it has seen better days. Definately not "new". If it were me I'd run away from that thing. There are just too many boats for sale right now at good prices. For 3500 bucks you can get one much better than that.

Plus it has stress cracks from hell on it. I'd be willing to bet that the deck is mush on it. Doesn't look like its been under a cover very much.
