I am looking at a 1999 Champion 190 SX w/ a 200 hp Merc EFI. All I have is a Chrysler town and country. Will I be overloading this minivan?

Welcome to BBC. I am not sure about the tow rating on that vehicle. Stopping a boat is actually the more important part of the equation. I would think the boat in question would pose a serious challenge to a Chrysler minivan though. Likely going to need a truck or SUV to safely tow a fiberglass bass boat.
Welcome to BBC, IMO the 181 and 190 were some of the finest F/S's ever built.![]()
I had a 181SX with a 150 for years, same boat just a little shorter. I pulled it with everything from a little 4 cyl Toyota pickup and Jeep to a one ton truck. I'd guess that rig is going to be pushing 4,000 pounds full of gas rolling down the road. Not only will you shorten the life of a mini van VERY quickly if you don't have an AWD you could have a real problem getting it up a steep ramp with FWD since you are transferring so much weight off the front wheels.
I had a few pucker moments stopping the 18 foot SX with smaller RWD vehicles because that boat didn't have trailer brakes.

Yes you will be. I have a 1/2 ton crew cab GMC to pull mine. My second vehicle is a Honda Ridgeline. I don't think it would pull it efficiently and its kind of a truck with 260 hp and a 4000 lb towing capacity. It has a nifty little trunk though. Keeps your deer cool at deer camp HA Ha !
I pulled my 186 with a 2002 dodge caravan 3.3ltr for years.....we still have the van with 340,000 on her with no ill effects. Just make sure the trailer has operational surge brakes and you treat it with respect....no going 75 on the freeway.....BTW the towing capacity on a 2008 Town and country is 3600 lbs with the tow prep package and 3300lbs without.
