As you all may have read I blew up my 200 efi on my 193. How do insurance companies view things like this. It may been caused by drawing water in the motor from a big wake so would that be covered? Is it worth the claim? thanks

If I was paying the premiums I would go ahead and file a claim and see what happens. My brother tore up is lower unit a while back and insurance covered it with no problems.

You really need to make sure and word EVERYTHING just right and dont give them any more information than needed!
also its not gonna hurt to have a good Mechanic " on your side"![]()
yeah I have the comprehensive and it says flooded boat so it swamped my motor that would be the same thing!?!??
If your motor injested water, they will be able to see that because of the rust on the cyclinder walls. When I swamped my motor (progressive cut a 11k asap) this past may, all the adjuster wanted to see was the cylinder walls.
Good luck
