    Claims with Bob

I read somewhere in this forum just recently that we all love our insurance company until we have a claim, and that's when the company's true colors show. I am in the claims process right now with state farm and while I'm sure that I'll be well taken care of in the end (hopefully), their claims center has had my estimate for 2 days now and haven't even looked at it yet. The rep I spoke with this afternoon told me "we should get to it in the next few days". So I'm not too happy at this point because there are only so many good weeks of fishing left here, and I'd like to get in on some of that.....

To make a long story short....Everyone here sing's Bob's praises about his knowledge of boat insurance.... Can I get some testiments to his "Claims" process and results??? Yes, I'm possibly going to switch insurance, but I'd rather get the whole story from fellow boat owners before doing that.

    Thanks!!!

I'm really looking forward to these posts. I pride myself in my customer service. I love to fish as well and I understand how short our season is. I live in Michigan. I have my staff pull all new claims daily and I call my client to see if they have any tournaments or any special needs. I do everything I can to get you back on the water as soon as possibel. Thanks Bob

    Re: Claims with Bob (insurancepro)

I had wondered about the claims process myself when I signed up. Well, just went through a claim for my LU and I am glad I switched to Bob and World Wide Marine. I made the claim late Friday, 11-5, and just got everything completed today before lunchtime. They dealt primarily with my service shop but followed up with me several times during the week. You will not regret switching.

I've been going through a claim with Progressive since October 8th without a resolution.

Bob has called me on several occasions to coach me through the process and he doesn't even have my policy.

Once I get my new boat.....Bob has my business

Bob is my guy! I had a claim, here in Wisconsin, back in July from an incident that occurred on a Sunday. Monday morning I called to file my claim and literally got a call from the adjuster 2 MINUTES after I made my claim. I received my check on Thursday in order to get repairs underway.

World Wide Marine Insurance IS the best in the business when it comes to boating insurance!

I am in a claim with progressive now also for a LU. Progressive was giving me a hard time. So I went looking for a new insurance company. I called Bob about a new policy because my agent dosn't know jack. He has tried to help me with his contacts at progressive and has been very helpful and he dosn't get a penny from me yet. Progressive has finaly decided to pay the claim. (not sure if Bob's calls helped but they changed there tune after he got involved) But with a sub standard LU from SEI. I called SEI this morning and there 3 year warranty is void if I tournament fish. I have a bass boat guess I won't be getting a waranty. WILL SEE Called progressive and asked if I could switch agent without changing policies. They said yes all I have to do is fax them a paper saying so. It will be done this week. To Bob

I haven't had to make a claim yet (and hopefully will never have to), but I'm confident that if I ever do, Bob will be there from start to finish. You really have to talk to this guy to know what I'm talking about. His passion for fishing and knowledge in insurance just makes you feel at ease. I have never had that feeling going through somebody else. But don't take my word for it. Visit other threads on this site and other sites (texasfishingforums.com fro example)

Everybody who deals with Bob always has nothing but great things to say about him and his company. Bob gets the job done. You won't just feel like a number, Bob will make you feel like you're the only client he has.

In conclusion. I hope your claim is taken care of promptly and fairly. And if you're thinking about changing carriers, give Bob a shout... You won't regret it.

    I'm just beginning one.
This process is as unnerving as seeing my boat damaged.

    Re: Claims with Bob (dannov5)

I was worried about insuring with someone over the internet, I've always had insurance locally. After reading all the comments on Bob I decided to take a chance. After two years I finally got to find out what Bob was all about, after a small skirmish with a boat dock I had almost two grand worth of damage. Called Bob, he told me what to do and call him back after talking to the insurance company to make sure I was satisfied. They acted as though they were happy to take care of my claim and I had a check in hand in less than a week. I just wish Bob could take care of all my other insurance policies.

    Re: Claims with Bob (haveme1)

I had a claim with state farm in 2006 and my boat was totaled. No fiberglass shop would give a estimate as it was obvious it would be totaled. It took 6 months and only once a friend of mine that is a lawyer contacted them did they finally want to do something. Then SF would do anything. Agreed to all My terms. I moved all of our insurance away from them as did the rest of my family. Just a word to the wise. Stay away from state farm.

    Re: Claims with Bob (dannov5)

I have been insured with Bob since buying my boat 2 years ago. Last March I had a claim because I hit a shallow rock. The whole process was handled without a single issue and I am a very pleased and loyal customer. For the record, Bob saved me about 1/3 and provided much better coverage.

I suggest that anyone give Bob a call and give him an opportunity to earn your business.

    Re: Claims with Bob (FishGA)

You can sign me up on Bob's Fan Page! I had a claim last spring and everything worked out extremely well. Bob will be your agent, not the insurance company's. I can't explain it any better then that.
