I replaced my seals on my hyraulic steering because they were leaking. I then bled a purged alot of fluyid through to get out all the air. I finally got it not to have any play left. Well I was away from my boat for over a week and now the engine has shifted to one side? Does anyone know why this could have happened? I store the boat inside the garage of my shop. The air temp is not lower then 40.. What could have caused this? Help me please
It slid over to one side. The steering wheel was never touched. As if there was no fluid in the cylider.
K did you bleed side to side meaning turning your steering wheel lock to lock then opening up your bleeder. When I bleed them I put my bleed hose into a bottle filled up with steering fluid. Your steering system should not have caused the motor to veer if you bled it correctly.
I must not have bled it correctly. I followed the instructions that came with the kit. At least I thought I did.
