    Lower Unit Lube?

Is there a different lower unit Lube for the Electric Shift lower unit in a 69 Johnson 55 or is the 80W90 API GL-5 ok to use?

Yes, any dealer should have the l/u oil for the electric shifts. The oil is a lot thinner than the regular stuff!!

Automatic transmission fulid - Dexron III Mercon should fill the bill.
