replacing boat seats

I am the proud new owner of a 84 Cajun Brat 14'. It had always been garage kept but the driver and passenger seat backs are both broken and rotted. How do I remove them so they can be replaced? They both have what appears to be a hinge on the front like the should tip forward but I can't get them to release.

mine the whole bench comes out, and then the seat is screwed on... can you post some pictures and we'll see if we can help you out
