When did the quality taper off? Anything other than the norms I should be aware of?
Thanks so much!

I have no first hand information, just what I have gathered from reading all comments since 2003.
I don't believe the quality actually ever suffered except for the Travis Edition (contact Pat Goff, who does have hands on expierience, for info on this).
Genmar bought out the Cajun line and was going to be moving plants, re-tooling, and re-designing Cajun when they ran headfirst into union problems so he just simply said "piss on you all, I'll shut-er down" and in 97 that is what he did.
Comments from people who own the CC bay boats seem to really like them. I'm not sure who owns the Bay's on here.
****O.K. Travis people, I'm not trying to start a pissing war here. You like your boats and I'm glad you do.*****
The quality never really went away on any model of Cajuns until the very end. I would just teat it like any other used boat.
I can only speak from my personal experience, Cajun dealer #106. Cajun built a very good bass boat they pioneered upright floation, first to have alum. lids, lifetime composite and alum. grid transoms, 50 year hull warranty, to name a few.
They were always very good at taking care of any problem, even replacing the entire boat. My first real problem with Cajun was in 1991, they built the worst trailer I have ever seen. Some of the bunks did not match the boat bottom, to small of tires for the weight of the boat, spring hangers not welded to the round axle, thin spring shackles that bent and had to be replaced, and very hard to load most boats, the hubs were so oddball that even Cajun didn't have the grease seals, so to pack the bearings the hubs had to be replaced. Then I started to find flaws in the boats, that was caused by crooked molds, consoles not matching the exact color of the boat and such. Customers would notice these things and my sales fell off. Being a die hard Cajun man I stuck with them untill 1994. I got my first load of 1995 Cajuns in and sent six of them back with the driver. Very poor quality, to say the least. I sold my dealership and retired in early 1995 so I can't say what happened after that. I am still running a Cajun and would not be worried about the construction.
