    Mid-West Rally II?

Any of you Allison boys going to be at the "Mid-West Rally II" in October? I'm looking at trying to by a used XB2003 in the spring, and I would like to ride in one before I do....... I've rode in a XTB21,(I've got it bad now, I gotta have one! ) but not a XB2003........... Come on boys!! Come to the Lake of the Ozarks and gimme ride ....... LOTO produces some rough water(not real real bad @ that time of the year )...... Lets see how one of these ride since this is the lake I fish the most..... Thanks, Darryl.........

I won't be there but will give you some advice. When you get you Ally, take you time learning to drive. I see you have a Champion which is just mash the gas and go. The Allys are different. But I tell you this, everytime you drive it, it will leave a smile on your face.

Thanks Chad! Ya, I know Allys aren't real easy to drive....... I've been wanting one since '94, and now I'm finally going to try and get one........ The guy with the XTB told me "Don't get frustrated, it will take you a while to get used to it, But once you do you'll be able to fly! ".... My Champ chine walks also.... I know I'm not going the speeds you guys are, but I think I can get used to it............. Can't wait for that smile , Darryl

I love mine more and more everyday. They are hard to drive until you master it. Then it's easy.

It is definetly an experience learning, but it's a good feeling knowing there's a little more to gain by learning.

    V6Merc,

I was at last year's Mid-West Rally @ Tablerock and am trying to decide whether I want to drive 250 more miles to the Lake of the Ozarks rally. In the event I decide to go I'll let you know and we'll go ridin! Come on down to Oklahoma and we'll go ridin for sure. Once you do this you will be incureable.

Re: Mid-West Rally II? (alli ss)

When you guys say that these boats are hard to learn how to drive, in what way are you talking about. I know that at high speeds most boats get a little bit loose in the a$$. Are you saying that they walk on you, or is it just learning how to handle turning at speeds and cutting through chop properly? I am interested, because I to am thinking about getting one of these boats.

    Re: Mid-West Rally II? (Jurgo68)

Can you say............... Chine-walk!!!!!!! The un-experienced driver like me (I've only owned mine 3 weeks) has to take his time in learnin to drive one of these superior boats.... An Allison is not a "STOMP THE GAS TRIM THE MOTOR OUT AND HOLD ON" kind of boat....... An Allison takes seat time and more seat time to learn to drive..... And I new this when I bought mine...... The way I look at it.... Untill I learn, I can leave my motor trimmed almost all the way DOWN hold the gas on the floor and still smoke 99.9 percent of the boyz I fish with........
