    knee surgery

Well got the word yesterday, gotta have knee surgery. Torn meniscus and partially torn Lateral Collateral Ligament. Doc said it would take about 30-45 minutes and 4-6 weeks recovery time. Gonna need a TM operator for a while so I can fish ou of the back of the boat!

With the new orthoscopic surgeries out there now, you will be surprised how fast you are up and walking. If you can put a seat in your front deck, I bet you can use the TM real fast.

after several damages and surgerys, I have been able to still stand all day and fish. I used a pro seat and the Doc said the action of the T/M helped with rehab. Just don't push to hard and let it heal slow.

    Re: knee surgery (cougarcat22)

Good luck to ya. Ruptured my patellar tendon on Jan 29th, had surgery on Feb 3rd. This definitely sucks. I can only get around in a immobilizer brace and am looking at a 6 month to 1 year recovery.

All that said there way more people in a lot worse shape than I so I count my blessings.

Best of luck to you and heal quick!!!

My partner had one replaced a year ago Jan.--he is 75, his story isn't as nice as most of yours. He was scheduled to have the other one replaced---he said no way.

+1. Had mine done way back in 1990 and was no big deal. If you follow the pt instructions you'll be up and at it very quickly. Good luck.
