I’m sure this has been discussed before but how much difference have you seen between standard bearings vs. ABEC-5 vs. ABEC-7? Reel cleaning time and have some bearings to replace. If I’m looking at 10’ or less distance I’ll not bother.

imo not much, replace them if you have worn out bearings, clean them and 1 drop of oil will do wonderrs

IMO...quite a bit. I've replaced all my Curado stock bearings with OS Abec-7 bearings. Smoother and it take less effort to cast just as far.
