Any one ever set their tps while motor running in gear at the boat ramp? I got a lean sneeze and need to know if it can be done without a volt meter.

pure quess w/o a volt meter, try synk & lynk of throttle flaps with oil rod disconnected, that cures alot of yamaha lean sneeze's![]()
Thanks but sync & link was just done and rechecked and looks good. Pretty sure its tps but I wonÂt have access to a good volt meter until Mon.
You guys seem to know a lot more about this than I do, but having just dealt with a lean sneeze, I was educated on the possibility of an injector flow issue. If you adjust the TPS to correct the sneeze, you may correct that cylinder, but then the flow on the other cylinders is unnecessarily adjusted potentially causing even more issues than the one you started with. Food for thought.
food for thought? rich works at one of the best injector cleaning services in the country i believe, so i'm sure that has been addressed![]()

Got the sneeze fixed. It wasnÂt the tps but an reed plate bleed off oil line that connects to #2 cylinder got somehow disconnected when I was cleaning the vst.The cylinder was sucking air and causing to sneeze real bad. Just serviced the injectors so I knew that wasnÂt it. But yeah, an injector can do that also when it starts to lean out.
