200 HPDI Setting Throttle to Achieve WOT ?

As I was working on a few things on the boat today I realized for the first time that when the hot foot is floored the throttle on the motor still has a little ways to go before it hits the stop on the throttle cam. Should the throtttle be hitting the little throttle stop pin when the hot foot is at its stopper? I am only getting 5400-5600 RPMS trimmed all the way out with a 25 T1 prop in cool weather and motor raised to right at 2.5" on the plates , 20 PSI H20 pressure. Is there an easy way to adjust the throttle to achieve WOT? I only get 5000 RPMS with the motor trimmed all teh way down.

Well we discovered today that I am definately not getting max RPMS at WOT, the kicker is that between me and then the Skeeter dealer there appears no way to adjust the plates via the linkage so that I get max rpms and a safe idle RPM to keep from destroying my lower unit. To get the plates nice and flat at WOT the idle was at 1700 rpms. I have ordered a new Cam Accelerator assembly, the thing that the roller rides up and down on throughout the different throttle positions. It seems to be the culprit, where the roller rides up to when at Max throttle is too low not pushing the roller up high enough to open the plates. I guess time will tell when I get it in.

Yours has been which way since you bought it, I dont follow you? I am well over 2 1/4" split between the plates and my RPMS arent coming up any and when I trim the you know what out of it trying to get my RPMS and speed up it just gets plain squirrely! This weekend I couldnt get it over 5200 RPMS with a partner, his gear and livewells full, no mattter how much trim I gave it, temp was 55 degrees. The way my plates sit at WOT right now theres a ways to go to flat, they are angled upward quite a bit.

Last year, I noticed the butterfly's on my 200 HP Series One not opening completely, and one of the dealers told me that it was normal.

I just ran across this in the other Yamaha Motors Hi Performance Forum. I believe that, Mat Worthy of HydroTec is saying the black plastic stop is different on the 200 and larger HP engines, and keeps the butterflys from fully opening on the 200 HP by design.
