Filling Fuel Filter with Sea Foam or Ring Free when replacing it?

I know its a common reccomendation from the big guy (EuropeanAM)over at the merc motor forum to fill the fuel filter housing with a mix of Merc Quick Clean and fuel when you change the fuel filter out on Optimax engines, have any of you ever done this on your Yamahas. Its kind of like a rapid clean through treatment I am guessing, I did it on my Merc XS motor when I changed the fuel filter. Just dont want to mess anything up by doing it on my Yamaha.

You are correct, it's an easy way to get some decarboning and cleaning. It will not hurt your Yammy.
