Max RPM's on a 2000 Johnson 150

What is the reccommended max rpms on a 2000 Johnson 150 carbed? I'm turning a 25 pitch renegade upto 5300-5400. Is this in the happy zone? Should they go up? Could go down to a 25 or put a jack on.

You could back off the throttle that 1/8 of an inch and use the current prop with a jack plate or have some cup added instead of pitching up. Make sure you get plenty of water in the intake if you go on a jack plate. The extra cup will help the cavitation if you get any when you install a jack plate. What hole is the motor mounted in now? You may be able to go up without a jack plate.
