I was thinking about adding a water separation filter but the instructions on the filter say "not recommended for electronic fuel pumps". Are the fuel pumps on this motor electric? I'm thinking EFI means yes?

thats a damn good question.... i just bought one and have the same exct motor you have....... aint got it yet so i have not read.......
It probably means not for electronic lift pumps, not for the EFI pumps...I run a water separating filter on mine and have no problem...
What filter were you looking at?

I see what you mean, but they also recommend a 10 micron filter for OX66 and HPDI motors, so I would assume it should be OK to use...
It may be a way to sell more powerheads and fuel pumps?

You need to read this. It says it is recommended for HPDI, EFI AND CARB motors.
