I push up and down and I get nothing but clicking.. worked fine this morning.. then down did nothing now up does nothing but click.. Up will work once in a while.. what could this be.?

I had this happen to me two years ago, and I got lucky that it was just a loose negative on my battery.. My boat would even start fine, just the trim would stop working in one direction or sometimes both. At least that's something you could check first.

I found the problem .. it is the little solonoid box.. I tap on it and it will work for up.. but down still does not.. Does anybody know what this box is called so I can order it asap.. i have a tournament on saturday and need my motor repaired.

If I can not get a replacement part for my motor before saturday can I rig it up with starter solonoid switches temporarily??
