Alarm buzzer @ or over 3200 rpm

I have twin 200's (1989) and my port engine will start to sound off after a few minutes at or over 3200 rpm when this happens my rpms drop until it shuts off. I have good water flow (new impeller and poppit valve) What could be causing this???

Sounds like you have salt corrosion in the water jackets. You will have to remove the scales and corrosion from that area and you'll be fine. We have had a couple of customers that go to the salt that have had these issues. A dealer in the area will surely be able to help and have seen it plenty I'm sure.
