    powerhead removal help

Trying to pull a '99 200 ox66 powerhead. I've pulled the front 2 l&r bolts, the rear 2, and the 2 in the shifter. Tried lifting up shaking, smacking w/ a 5lb dead blow hammer. It won't come loose. Am I missing some bolts somewhere? Anywhere to pry???? Help, please

    Re: powerhead removal help (stiverp)

Wow. I had my OX66 pulled apart by the mechanic for insurance, so he did it all and I didn't get to see it done myself.

Are you the guy that emailed me about the heads? That motor is in 1000 pieces in my garage, so if you need any parts let me know!

I mean realy....I've got every last bolt and washer sitting in a pile in my garage if you need anything.

Cool Mike. Thanks. Maybe let him know to check his IM's. His email is hidden and he hasn't posted since early May, so I don't know how often he logs on . The motor is good except for one destroyed piston and one scored piston. Insurance guy had it torn apart and damage was limited to those two pistons and some small gouges on the head over the destroyed piston.

It'd be great if he wanted the lower unit, so I wouldn't have to ship it. Tell him I'll make him a helluva deal on it. Seals are good, shaft is straight, and water pump has less than an hour on it.
