    Re Installing Lower Unit

I have a 1994, 115 Yamaha. Pulled lower unit and replaced the water pump impeller.
When re installing the lower unit do you leave the lower unit and boat in neutral or do you put them both in forward, or does it matter?

    Thanks, Senkoboy

Neutral has always been the easiest for me. Make sure the linkage on your lower unit is in neutral or you will be taking it back off. It is easy to to get these out of sync while putting it back together
