Seperate sending unit is needed. Mine is on the drivers side head.
Yeah KB look on top of the powerhead and see if the sending unit was installed (top of cylinder bank near head...). It's just two wires in a duplex harness. Is it a Yamaha analog gauge? The gauge would have come with a harness included in the kit.
