Awesome motors... They were known for carbs getting dirty, gummed up... Check for compression... Strong motors that last.

I used to have pro v and never had problem and it was a 89 model,just got rid of it two years ago and its still going strong! But they dont like to sit for a long time or the carbs will have to be cleaned.
Can of Gumout every 2 months and run it with the muffs on 2x during the winter for 15 minutes sure helped mine be dependable for 13 years (1987-2000)! Ran like a top when sold.
