Looking at a boat with a this motor... Unofficially, motor is reported to have about 460 hours on it.... Doesn't that seem like a lot of hours for a motor of that year? What does my friend look for on a Yamaha like that? Boat is real sharp, clean... Does not look to have 460 hours on it... Any help?

See if you can get some maintenance info on it from the selling dealer, if it was originally sold near you.
check the compression on each cyl.
