I have a 2001 225EFI. The last 2 trips out I put gas in the boat. When I get to the water my motor cranks then goes dead. I have had to pump the bulb up on both occasions. Any ideas on why it's doing this?

Air leak somewhere. Tighten all connections on bulb line. Maybe a bad bulb.

Life is kinda hard but it's
better than the other options .. er ..option !
most always you'll need to pump the bulb after stopping for awhile to fish or to move to another location and most certainly before I launched. I know my old 200 EFI was that way.

Make sure you've addressed ALL recommended items.... preferably AT THE SAME TIME.
BTW... get in the habit of pumping the primer bulb firm before EVERY engine start.![]()
