I have a 1995 merc black max 200hp and it will run fine once I'm going. The problem is when I first start it up the ball from my gas tank is empty. I have to prime it then immediately get on the gas and go. If I prime and try to idle it just stalls out. Any ideas? Any advise would be great!!

I would start with that, least expensive and easiest to perform. If that doesn't work then get a 5-6 gallon portable tank and put fresh gas in it. Hook your new fuel line to it and run the motor.
These are two of the easiest things to do and if that doesn't work then you'll know it is something engine related and not fuel supply from tank to motor.
