2008 Merc 225 ProXS - Bog and surg

Thanks Don for showing me the path.

I started having the bog and surge problem about four months ago. My mechanic tried the usual things including replacing the one remaining old coil, changing gas tanks etc. My hose going to the bulb was eat up sometime ago and he changed and cleaned out everything. It had run ok for over a year before this happened.
The mechanic has run the boat on several occassions, he and I ran it yesterday for about fifteen miles. It did not miss a lick we could feel. Maybe with the new instrument you memtioned to revinkevin in your last post we might be able to tell something. He is working on gettng it.

If you have any suggestions different on my year model I would sure like to hear them. We fish way into the swamp frequently and I can not go with a motor that has been acting up like this.

I'd strongly recommend that you read through the following post. Compare ALL items against what you have on your boat/engine, and upgrade ALL recommended items AT THE SAME TIME (don't assume because you did one or two of them a year ago that all is ok).
