Is it ok to use royal purple 75w-140 in 250 pro xs lower unit

I am changing my lower unit oil on my 250 pro xs and wanted to know if using the 75w-140 is good for this. I have always used royal purple but wasnt sure if 75w-90 or 75w- 140. I figure the only difference is the amount of heat tolerance.

I do not recommend ANY lubricant other than Mercury/Quicksilver HIGH PERFORMANCE gear lube.

This lube is a SYNTHETIC lubricant, with emulsifiers added to help protect your gearcase in the event of water intrusion.

Any other lubricant should be considered "test at your own risk".
