    Replaced Crankin' battery....

I have one wire that I am concerned about... After I got my new battery home and was attaching all of the positive and negative leads, I noticed that there was one wire I did not mark. It is green with an orange stripe (or vice versa). It is run in the same plastic tubing as a green wire that was labeled negative. Is wire supposed to be on the positive or negative post of the battery? Thanks in advance...

I would post this in the Triton forum for more answers.
If it is wiring for the boat not the motor the Triton guys will get you a good answer. if it is for the motor Don will know.

    +1

You'll also want to know FOR SURE:

-Is it Orange w/green stripe, or Green w/orange stripe?
-Is there a FUSE or Circuit Breaker near the ring terminal end on this wire?

For future reference.... it's always a good idea to "tie-strap" ALL of the ring terminals for each post (Negative then Positive) together when removing the battery. This way, no wires are inadvertantly left behind when the new battery is installed.

Trust me.... it helps. I have a few customers whose "accessory" wiring involves "greater than 10" ring terminals PER BATTERY POST.

Thanks guys... will do. Don, I actually did zip tie the positive wires and negative wires... I just missed that one wire...(I think it fell down beside the battery box during removal). Thanks again...
