I'd start with the same prop you have, just to try as a "benchmark".
More than likely, you'll be bumping the pitch UPWARDS by about 1 pitch.

Taken a 32 to the limiter is when you have a fast boat!![]()

My goal is a couple mph behind 70, with the 250 im still the fastest one in my country
with that brand of boat..

What do you do with that kind of boat???? Looks like 70 would be hauling the mail in such a rig!!
In good condition 68,5-68,8 mph , mostly used to transport to a little island i own

A bendable knuckle bracket at bottom and top of each leg holding up the top and she would lay flat to the back by removing a few pins... Add 10+ mph![]()
I have some plans to make a cover in the front of cabin door, this big area suck down and trap air.. and yes ! a 4" lower cabin whould be optimum..
90 mph !!! yea , a couple of the new 557:s maby get it there![]()

Or, you could play with the SHAPE of the top.
Sounds a little crazy... but a less-blunt leading edge, and a curved top (similar to the top of an aircraft-wing's airfoil) will actually create LIFT.
Proven it on a couple of Tri-Toons over the years.... I had one that after carefully adjusting the Bimini Top (and strapping the living dailights out of the skin for the top) would do 6-7 MPH faster WITH THE TOP UP (as apposed to folded down).![]()

I like the style of my cabin, and it fill my needs, and with a 300XS on the transom i have the possibility to "hurt somebody's feelings "![]()
