    Advice please

Thinking of buying a Nikon Coolpix L120.

Any experience good or bad with this Nikon?

    Thanks

I have played with those at the store and they seem pretty good. I don't have any real world experience though. Really I don't think you can go wrong with any of the coolpix lineup.

Bought my Daughter one for Christmas and she's happy with it. It's a pretty good camera for the money. Shot to shot time is fast, as is flash recycle time and overall it takes great pics. Decent battery life if using good rechargeables. But it does have few drawbacks. It's not the best in low light conditions and sometimes has a hard time focusing and the pics are a little more grainy than expected. The other is that when zooming in the video mode, it is VERY slow to focus and sometimes never achieves focus at all at longer focal range. Also you are limited on much manual control over the camera. Google up some reviews and see what they have to say before you buy. I thought this one in particular came closest to what we've experienced with it..

As an adventure guide, you see lots of different cameras and learn which can't take abuse and which can't. Coolpix...never saw one give up the ghost, even ziplining in the rain.
