Baymont would be good and it is a little out of the "strip" area traffic if that appeals to you - on the water.

Staybridge Suites also is fairly new and nice.

You might try Hamilton House B and B - it is on a nice point on the water and has a lot of history and would be a little special.

The above except Hamilton House are sorta high rise type deals but nice.

You can rent lots of condos on the lake - just google for them...there are lots.
If you don't like the looks of these, let me know and I will help further....PS - if you are going for some fishing - send me an email. You might want to stay at DeGray....about 30 minutes away and drive into HS.

    Ablution Day Spa and Salon.

If you're not necessarily looking for water, check into the Arlington downtown. Lots of history. We stayed on the 4th floor next to Al Capone's suite. Had an adjoining door that stayed locked as they gave tours of the suite. Had us wondering what actually took place in the "adjoining" room. They have in-house bath house, and it's not but across the street from bath house row and the historical area of Hot Springs.

There's lots of choices. If you wan to stay on or near the water the ones already listed would be good along with Sunbay, or the Clarion. Both have boat ramps if you want to fish while you are here. If you want to stay downtown I would suggest the Embassey Suites or the Austin both are very close to the bath houses and the old downtown area. We also have a Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Hampton, and another one in the 3400 block of Central Ave. but the name of it seems to have left my memory at the moment. Those are kinda in between the lake and the old downtown area. If you like history check out the gangster museum while you here. They've got some pretty cool things in there and tell a good story. Take the wife and kid up to the Mountain Tower or at least drive up to the top of West Mountain and take a pair of binoculars. We also have Magic Springs if you like the amusement park thing and Lake Ouachita and Lake Degray are just a short drive away along with Lake Hamilton which is right here in town.
