Fishing is much more than casting and retrieving and playing your catch. It's the wind in your face and the sound of wakening birds as the sun peeks over the horizon. It's discovering the magic in each new place and unlocking the mysteries that lure above and below the surface.

Half of neighbor's wood privacy fence came down. Actually can see the 4x4post, set in concrete, lying out of the ground as well.
My dad is checking on his brother today, as he lives at Crystal Springs where they had two fatalities. They were supposed to go to Oaklawn for their semi annual get together. Dad's without power and has to wear a CPAP mask at night, so it was tough on him, but he's okay.

I love waking up at two in the morning to tornado sirens.

We had 'em too. Funny how an alarm clock can go off 10 minutes before you realize. Tornado siren - sit bolt upright

    Re: Everybody alright??? (JStew)

Much rather have the siren and not need it than not have it all. Last night my power went out, and about 5 minutes after that the sirens started. It sounded like a freight train was coming through the living room.

I live just a few blocks from where one of the tornados went through and trying to get to work this morning was a PITA I had know idea that there was a tornado that close until I had got to work and was watching the news.

Just got back to the office from lunch and the intersection at Markham and Barrow looks like a bomb went off. There are power lines, and trees laying all over the place, and I heard that there were 2 people that died in that mess last night.

Also one of my club members truck cushioned the fall of a tree last night in Lakewood, He said that when the sirens woke him up he went out on his porh to smoke and watched the trees strt dancing then the top of one broke off and landed on his truck. He is fine and mostly so is the truck just a few big dents and a bruised ego. Some of his neighbors also were not so lucky. There were several trees laying on houses in his neighborhood.
