Need Advice!

I need a new trolling motor. I am looking at a couple of different ones, Minn Kota Egde and Maxxum.
Maxxum 70 bow mount variable speed with 360 mount I can get for about $660
Edge 70 bow mount speed control latch and door mount I can get for about $475
Both are foot control.
Is the 360 mount and variable speed worth the extra $$$?

I don't have a variable speed and don't miss it. Can't say about the mount.

youll be dissapointed with the edge, had one and practically gave it away and got another (stronger) motorguide! JMO

You will have longer battery life, and a smoother troll with the Maxxum. The mount will make a huge difference when you bump something. That would be some well spent money.

I don't have the infinite variable speed on mine, but I can tell you when this one dies, my next one will.
