Lookin for a BOAT

Hey neighbors, my son has been on me to get back in to saltwater fishin so I'm on the hunt for an aluminum center console (welded), galv or alum trlr, 16-18', 50-90hp engine. Can't afford a new one, lookin for one of them "deals", and from what I've seen so far, I'm really surprised what they get for an aluminum rig now days Appreciate ya givin me a holler if you come across anything.

You could start with craigslist.com Lotta good deals on that site.And of course you should get some hits on the BBC

yep, craigslist is where I been lookin. That boat trader site sux now, full of dealer boats, hardly any individual sellers anymore.

I found one in Sulphur. 2004 18' Xpress, 90 Yam 2 stroke. $8500
Just don't know what they are worth, but they sho proud of the new ones.

Ref. Lakesport boats.

I like them. The 1st one I had was a CC just right for SE Louisiana. Sold the 1st one to buy 4 wheelers for the kids, mistake. The 2nd was SC. the seat was on the back casting deck, you sat a little high. That's why you would get wet in a little rough water, and it was tough on your back because you could not stand up and take the waves with your knees. CC take up a little more room that SC.
but you can stand up and take rough water plus possibly see any obstacles in the water.
No factory was destroyed in 07 by a tornado, 1 worker was killed. They build them out of Utah under a new name.
I haven't seen any advertisement for them around here.
The one I have now has a vee-hull similar to the xpress hyper lift. hull. I would recommend a semi-vee. This is just my opinion. Please get other opinions.

Thanks Lakesport and everyone else. That LA Sportsman looks like a dang good source to find something sooner or later. I see the Magazine all the time when I'm at T Bend, didn't know they had a website. I ain't in no hurry, lookin for a sweet deal, and it will come, plus...... the credit union is still part owner in my '08 Legend
