swaped my 2000 efi year 2000 to a 2006 225 optimax. i bought a mercury wiring adapter so it was a pretty straight forward hookup. my problem is that my gauge in the dash that shows. water, oil,temp dosent work. im left with 3 wiries coming out of the back of my boat that dont hook into the new adaptor harness or any loose wires on the new motor. did i buy the wrong adaptor? is there another adaptor with extra wires to make this work. is there extra wires under the cowl that these will adapt to?
