    250 XS spark plug question

I changed the plugs on my motor today and both bottom plugs had water droplets on the electrodes. Does that mean anything? other than that they all looked fine. I have always thought this engine was a little down on power.

Had you run the engine prior to changing the plugs?

It is not uncommon to see "small, insignificant amounts" of water droplets after sitting. The air rails, air lines, and compressor tend to "condensate" as air pressure increases and decreases, and this moisture is usually most noticable on the lowest cylinders after sitting.

Don, Ive always heard that when there's water the bottom 2 plugs, thats a sign of a faulty head gasket...could be a serious issue...

Normally, that would be the case.

However, I did want to point out that it is "possible" to see some signs of moisture on these WITHOUT any problems present.

If there is ANY question.... I'd suggest a leakdown test, or simply remove the cylinder heads and inspect.

BTW.... these are "O-Ring Seal" heads.
