    225 Opti Lower Unit?

I changed the lower unit oil a few months ago and I never really noticed this until recently, it looks like "hard water spots" or calcium. I can wipe it off and after a couple more trips it's there again. I don't have any fluid leaking, like it would if the prop shaft seal was out( been there more than once) . 2003 225 Opti.

My question is, does anyone know what this could be or if there is any reason to be concerned?

Never seen one quite like that..... you sure there's not a crack at the top of that stain?

To the best of my knowledge there is not a crack, if there is one I can't find it or feel it. It is possible but if fluid can get out then fluid can get in and I have not had any water in the lower unit since I had the prop shaft seal replaced, there was water in the lower unit because of the prop shaft seal but I have changed the oil since having that seal replaced and no water. I have no idea what is causing this, just wondering if I should be concerned.
