250 ProXS limiter is set at "6300" RPM's. Keep in mind- the limiter is not a "set figure"... it is actually a "window" of approximately 300 RPM's. Actual RPM where the limiter "activates" will vary based on load, and various other items.
Recommended propping RPM is 5500-6000.
Peak horsepower (optimum propping RPM for top speed) is usually found between 5800-5900 RPM's.![]()
On the 225 Question- would need a specific serial number and the numbers off of the PCM to answer the question.

Thanks for your help. On another note, I saw that my buddy's new 09 250 pro xs seemed have different graphics than my Nov 08 Pro xs 250. Did something change in the new 09 production year?
We don't use "years" any longer.... don't yet have the serial number break, but I can see that there has been a change.![]()

my 2008 250 pro xs goes into gaurdian at 6280 rpm..prop it to turn 5900-6000 rpm
