Long Weekend

My grandmas companion passed away thursday evening so we had to go to springfield for the funeral this weekend. Coming home there was a bad looking wreck just west of Iola. Haven't heard yet for sure but it looked like it involved a tractor so I'm sure someone local was involved. Drove over the hill to the house and saw one of my dogs laying in the road dead. The boys had really been doing pretty good about their "grandpa" dying but their dog was to much, the youngest was really upset for a while. I understand that if the dog gets in the road it might get ran over but I wish whoever it was would have at least moved it out of the road so the kids wouldn't have seen it. Hopefully this week will be better.

DAMN...............tough weekend in deed

Just heard this morning that the man on the tractor did indeed pass yesterday. While not a close friend he was someone that many people in the community knew. If you believe in the old wives tale about death coming in threes, I'm counting this as my third so hopefully there won't be anymore for awhile.

the guy on the tractor was a friend of mine , we had just worked together on a New Church last week, and was planning on doing the New Community Center with him next month.. Wayne was on the School Board and has been on the Fair Board for many years..
