Well its offical, BASS Crushed the BCWC, as they said at the Central Divisional. What I found interesting is this:
"in order to increase focus on its grassroots efforts including the BASS Federation Nation Divisionals, the BASS Federation Nation Championship"
Also at the Divisional they all but laid to rest the "BASS Federation Nation Championship" and cited it cost over 350K to hold this event.
Maybe they have decided to keep it? Time will Tell.

I am really dissapointed over this one. This year they changed it so you got to fish with members of your own team during the tournament which made things lots more fun.

We never could get much participation here. Of the three teams anually that qualified to go for Arkansas, we could never put together more than one.

It is my hope that both Programs, BASS and FLW/TBF grow, nation wide. It will only help all the working stiffs like myself, that have greater asperiations.
I only hope they don't kill the Nationals, and if they decided to do that over dumping the "pitt 12 guys against each other and call it a team" concept (Divisionals or 12 man team, as it is currently referred to).
It might be akin to that iceberg incident with that large ship.... Titanic... for BASS and it's grass roots program.

That is a crying shame that they would discontinue this....great idea but I guess it was too much money for ESPN to foot!
