build a 2.5 200 or a 2.5 225 pm

I have two 1998 2.5's a 200 and a 225 PM I want you to "work" one of them. Could you get the same power from the 200 as the 225 PM when your done?
Is one a better starting point then the other?

I like either but my choice would be the Pro Max because of the front reed induction system 7 verses 5....And the narrow 1.5 MM rings which in stock form WILL make more power..

Another thing to consider is purpose of the engine......

In my experiences.... The 5 pedal tends to work well on very heavy bass boats and will have more torque on the bottom and midrange (when compared to engines modified to the same specs with 7 pedal fronts) and are very good up to about 7K. On light hull the 225 will perform great and will mask the lack of bottom/midrange (compared to the 5 pedal) and pull harder in the higher RPM's. Again just my experiences....
