Last three trips I've only managed 2 3 1/2 lbers, then went with Sarge and we only managed 8 fish with three being 16"ers, went out tuesday with my son and his friend I caught 2 shorts son caught a crappie his friend caught a 4lb'er, and last night I had a good one on but lost it. Many more trips like this and I'll winterize it till the Rally in Oct.
About the same here.....I went out Early Sunday am and only managed to boat 1 kepper and partner had one.....Had another on B4 left and shook off.
Starting to question whether or not it's worth buying the gas just to get a lesson in humility!
This is a tough time of year to fish! The water level in he NE part of KS has messed the fishing up consideralby!
I realize the dog days are rough, but I've never struggled this much.
I think I'm headed to Wilson this weekend. Water is 2.5' low and crystal clear and I'm familiar with the Summer smallie pattern there.
